This dough hook only lasts a year or two before the paint starts to chip and end up in your dough. Handwash only and be prepared to by new hooks often.

In my family we like to bake our own bread but like everything else in life it's trying to find the time to do it. I have a kitchen aid mixer and purchased this dough hook as a valuable addition to my bread making process. Using the dough hook it saves time and energy in the mixing process. Does what it should in no time at all. The shape and design allow the hook to cut through the dough and mix it at the same time. While this is going on you can get on with other things or just have a cup of tea.
I have recently started using my dough hook as previously I enjoyed kneading by hand. Unfortunately due to problems with my wrists, I have had to give up the hand kneading. But I have been pleasantly surprised by how well the Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook works.
