To be honest this is very much an essential for the mixer as many things are simply too sticky to use the wire, narrower attachment. 5 Stars because it works but just a very basic attachment.

I ordered this with the free postage and packing and received it in 2 days excellent service, bit over the top with the packaging for something that is not that fragile.

Bad quality 4 Mar 2012
I have two of these beaters, and both have chipped down the base. The plastic surface of the beater slowly tears off by use, over time and the metal frame has been exposed. Obviously all the plastic pieces were left in the dough!!! All the sugarcraft schools I go to and use Kitchenaid machines, have the same problem. This is unacceptable for a company like Kitcheaid.
