I bought this to replace an electric espresso maker I used at home. I have mastered how much to tamp the coffee down depending on how finely it is ground. The coffee temperature is an improvement on my electric machine. Taste is not impaired as long as you do not use too strong a flame as this will cause the coffee to boil in the uppermost compartment. For home use, this is very useful and fills the house with a beautiful smell of coffee. It is easy to clean and sturdier than I expected. I have not used any similar machine to this one. Five stars reflects the price and overall ease of use once mastered.

Makes good coffee, but the construction is a bit flimsy. Bialetti's are made with thick aluminium,
this is made with a very thin metal. Very light, doesnt pour great but at just under �9 is a bargain.
Still. it does make great coffee. Better than those fangled �200 jobbies!
