Hello, I was looking for a book to get my father involved into a new hobby. I thought as he spends so much time out in the garden smoking, he may as well put that time to good use. I went to the Garden section at WHSmiths and while perusing through stumbled across this one.
The book is sectioned into the four seasons (early spring, mid spring, late spring, then same for summer, autumn winter) then sectioned into vegetables, fruits and also covers the pests and diseases. The book will cater for all users with various sized gardens ranging from balconies to large plots. It also teaches you how to test your soil etc.
This is a very graphical and easy to follow, with many photographs and illustrations of hundreds of fruit/veg, how to sow, where to plant when to plant, what to look out for, how to look after etc. so much good information.
If you follow this book throughout the year there really in no excuse not to have a good harvest.
If your looking for a good book this is it
