The patented rotating ceramic sharpening wheel grinds away any burrs or dents from the blade edge and provides a supersharp knife.
How to Use:-
Hold the knife sharpener on a flat surface, place the knife in the guide slot and gently push the knife to and fro about ten times using a slight downward pressure.
Always sharpen to the tip of the blade and do not
sharpen dirty knives.

This is one brilliant gadget. I tried it on my kitchen knives that were pretty blunt and which I was about to throw away. WOW is all I can say. it was money well spent and saved me buying new knives. It's very easy to use fits, neatly in a drawer and is one of the cheapest knife sharpeners around.

Got a decent set of knives which I paid a fair bit for a few years ago. They were showing their age but I didnt want to use the sharpener stick so bought one of these on the strength of other amazon reviews.
Spent 10 minutes drawing each of the 5 knives through (of various size). Like a new set of knives for a £6 purchase! If you need to sharpen your knives buy one of these - you wont be disappointed.

blunted all my knives - useless

It does the job but not the best
