What a delight to make scones in a traditional mixing bowl, what can I say? It reminds me of making things at school, in the old fashioned "Domestic Science" lessons. Much nicer to use than plastic,just the right size and very stable. I love the fact that it has the ability to be stable when mixing at an angle, I didn't realise that before I bought it! To be honest I bought it to go with my new kitchen, which it does, but it is a pleasure to use, Many thanks to the designer and maker!Kitchen Craft Traditional Stoneware Round Mixing Bowl, 4.5 Litres

Beware before ordering what size you want. I went for the biggest and it is huge and very heavy. It is well made however and I was very happy with it.

Ordered this for my wife who is a keen amateur baker and she is absolutely delighted with it. Heavy enough not to move around when some vigorous stirring is going on, the flat sided feature also makes it easier to access.
Less impressive was the courier who managed by some devious means to deliver two of these smashed into small bits. Full marks to Amazon for immediately sending replacements with the final attempt having very heavy duty protection.
5/5...no faults for this bowl but, just check the dimensions before you order. It is LARGE!

Old-fashioned but very practical
This essential mixing bowl is old-fashioned but very practical for making pastry and bread. My Mum had one, and both my Grandmothers too.

Great Product!
We bought this bowl for our son who is very keen on baking. It was reasonably well packed and arrived in one piece. Great product and quite large so its just the thing for mixing!

Just the right size, love the country look and value for money
