A vast improvement on my rolling pin! But be aware comes out of the dishwasher discoloured with a thin powdery deposit adhered to it (soon wiped off). Blurb says it is dishwasher safe so I doubt it will come to much harm it is very well manufactured.

I bought this meat hammer specifically so I could put it in the dishwasher as my previous one was aluminium. I carefully selected a stainless steel one for this purpose! Unfortunately, after a few times in the dishwasher the coating on the hammer end is peeling away, leaving it unsafe for food use. Only the handle appears to be stainless steel. Extremely frustrating!!!

Received this today and was quite pleased on first inspection, however looked a bit closer and its a "stainless steel effect" not "stainless steel" and had air bubbles underneath all over the place especially on the business end (flat faced side). This would not last a long time before peeling off and looking unsightly, must have slipped the quality control inspection or it's just crappy finish on the product line as a whole. Anyway im sending it back.
