I bought this bag mainly because it is cotton and so different to the normal plastic/chemical bags you get. Does a great job and highly recommend it. The only criticism I have of the bag is that if you squeeze too hard, then whatever you are straining, may leak through the seem stitching, but in saying that, as long as you are patient and careful when straining, then the bag works fine. Stop looking and get this straining bag!

I bought this item because I couldn't find an actual nut milk bag that could be shipped to my area. That is not the intended purpose for this bag but I find that it works just as well if you are gentle with it. I have used it several times and the only thing I'd say if you're using it for this purpose is not to overfill it or go too hard on squeezing. But it has worked perfectly if you remember those two things and continues to be a useful asset to my vegan diet!

to be fair, I was using this for straining almond pulp from the milk, and as another reviewer found, excessive squeezing puts pressure on the stitching. I think a stronger bag is required for this purpose, although this one may be fine for the purpose for which it was designed , ie straining jam.
