After a recent slaughtering of my kitchen scissors (Don't ask..... just don't ask...) I was stuck in the house, unable to go out, and needed some large scissors.... and so I picked these from Amazon.
I chose them primarily because of the price, and thought they would do as a stop-gap till I could get out and get some real scissors from a real shop. How wrong could I be?
They arrived the next day, susprising given all the snow and hysterics about posting, and lo and behold instead of a junky pair of scissors, I had these beauties in my hands.
They operate like scissors shoudl the blades are remarkably sharp, and there is a crisp shearing sound as you open and close them. The grip oin the handle is good enough without being over fussy and there is a neat stopper between the handles to prevent crushed fingers (something I like to do when not killing pairs of scissors....).
On testing, the scissors felt light, not cumbersome, and I did worry about whether they would be robust enough to tackle some of the jobs I put them through - and they did with flying colours and are still safely nestled in my drawer some weeks later.
I give them four stars rather than five, only because if anything they are a little light, and as such feel less controlled than a heavier pair. Other than that, I shall be buying these scissors again (should this pair have an accident) as they are more than capable of all the household tasks I have in mind for them and at this price they are a real bargain.
