I always shied away from eating oranges at work due to the mess I would make while peeling them. I had a reasonable knife technique but peeling was a long drawn out affair.
A colleague had one of these and swore by it so I decided to take the plunge. The delivery was next day despite opting for the free super saver delivery and they arrived in great condition.
The peelers themselves are fantastic, when coupled with a good quality orange they make light work of most peeling tasks. I am yet to master the two peeler technique though. I guess this is something that I can look forward to as I become a more experienced user.

These little peelers are a great simple idea, for medium sized oranges that is. I tried to use one on a big orange, grapefruit size, but the pith was just that fraction too thick for it to cope with. No matter how hard I press it simply won't cut deep enough, which results in a very poor peeling experience.
Feel bad to only rate it three stars, because as I said, the tool works great, but just not on big oranges with a thick pith.

I will no longer avoid buying oranges because they can be such a faff to peel, as these tiny little gadgets have made that task easy. I received them yesterday, & couldn't wait to grab one of the oranges I'd bought a couple of days before in anticipation of the Peelers' delivery! I positioned my thumb through one of them, as per illustration on the packaging, & away I went! The colourful, juicy ball was soon stripped of its outer coat allowing me to savour the sweet juicy flesh contained within. It was easy, taking less than 30 seconds, & so thrilled was I that I had three more oranges throughout the day & will have to go out to re-stock my bowl this afternoon!!!!

Nice little gismo
These orange peelers work great and are super value for money. You can achieve the same result with a sharp knife but these are handy to keep in your pocket. A great invention.

orange peeler

Excellent little gadget
Excellent little gadget - now keep at work in my desk and it enables me to peel an orange at lunchtime without getting sticky. Great value for money.
