I had once purchased a cake slicer from a certain well-known kitchen equipment store. Very flexible, it would bend under the weight of even a light sponge. After a few dozen uses, it broke!
This is sturdy, stainless steel and with a comfortable handle. One edge is serrated and will help cut crusts on pies etc and then lift the slice afterwards. Their is now give at all and it could lift a fair weight if needed.
Easy to clean and dry after use, you cannot ask for better.

Great product, no more mess when cutting a piece of quiche out of the foil tray or cutting a piece of cake.
