Kettle Review 17 Dec 2010
We purchased the kettle from Amazon (good price) for use on an induction hob.
(Our old electric kettle was very noisy and we could not find a 'quiet' kettle).
The Le'Xpress has proved to work very well on the induction hob - we no longer hear a simulated jet aeroplane take-off during the water boilng process.
The whistle is very insistent and just what we needed.
We did have a minor problem approx one month after first use, Amazon rectified immediately by providing a new replacement kettle : rust developed in a very small area of the spout edge.

Whistling Kettle 29 Dec 2010
We bought this kettle for our caravan, it is a simple basic whistling kettle that does exactly what you would expect it to do. It is effective, easy to use and above all reasonably priced compared with others that we looked at and with no gimmicks. We are very pleased with it.

Rubbish 14 April 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
We bought this kettle about 4 months ago, and it has already broken (if you're wondering how something as simple as a hob kettle can break - the bit covering the spout just fell apart one day). Before that, it was still rubbish - the lid leaked steam (scalding your hand if you tried to pick it up) and fell off if pouring at an angle more than 20 degrees (making it difficult to empty the kettle one handed).

Even before this litany of problems, it took far too long for the kettle itself to boil. Finally, even something as simple as the fill-level marker inside the kettle was so badly designed as to be illegible, making it virtually impossible to guess how much water was in the damn thing unless you pre-measured in a jug beforehand.
