This item is something I remember from my childhood.
Having recently moved to a very hard water area I quickly tired of having to descale the kettle every few days and remembered the fur collectors.Amazon came up trumps and the collector works well by keeping down the scale to a minimum.Just a rinse in cold water every now and again keeps it clean and functional.

A silent little worker.
How or why would this thing work I wondered ?. Having cleaned the kettle in it went and weeks later it was covered in lime scale while the kettle remained clean.

Great simple idea
Nice little gadget to keep the kettle lime-scale free. We actually opted for a hot water urn and the fur collector just sits at the bottom and stops it scaling over. Read more
