As another reviewer has pointed out, the glass bowl is not marked Pyrex, but we have been making tea with boiling water in ours for at least two years. We have only just replaced it as although the removeable glass bowl is apparently suitable for boiling water, it doesn't bounce when dropped on the kitchen floor after washing it! Tips:
* the infuser handle and the knob on the lid get too hot to hold; use a tea spoon handle to lift the infuser handle (put the infuser on something to retain the liquid), and use an oven gautlet or similar to hold the lid.
* the infuser and funnel that it sits in will be discoloured by the tea and we use a block of gently abrasive foam from Lakeland to clean them.

Received today Teapot, but actually it is 900 ml and not 1 Liter capacity as advertised by seller. It not made from Pyrex glass as advertised by seller, but it is LeXpress. After all I do not know whether it is safe to drink from that Teapot. Very disapointed!
