I never knew how effective plain fabric was at making cheese! I used this muslin cloth, and it was amazing.. water got drained out, and the cheese remained. Perfect! In fact, I used it to make Paneer.. to use in Rasmalai (an Indian dish) and the paneer I was left with was just right.. and the milk balls came out perfect.
Plenty of muslin cloth too.. used a small square, saved the rest for another time.

Basic and perfect
Butter muslin either comes in enormous packs or fiddly, useless little squares. This is just right - basic and perfect.

This is not cut into a square or rectangle. It is cut with frayed edges (by hand it looks)and where part of the cut is some threads have caught and so there is a string of holes... Read more

this item is perfectfor my jam making. It's ideal for my mint and apple jelly, just hung apples overnight after cooking. worked well, and wash and use again and again.

butter muslin
I found this butter muslin to be excellent for crab apple jelly where the fruit is quite squishy. Left overnight I had lovely syrupy juice which had completely dripped through.
