The pasta rack is a good enough design for what it is supposed to do. The construction is in wood, with metal screw threads to hold the cross members together. The "arms" simply plug into pre-drilled holes. That is the theory.
Unfortunately, although the design is OK, and the finish of the wood is good, the execution of the design is badly let down by the lack of attention in production detail:- the metal screw threads had to be re-tapped and re-died because they were partly stripped; the wood dowels which go into the pre-drilled holes were not of consistent diameter so that some fitted just right, some went into the holes OK but fell out again if the rack was tilted, and some were so tight that they were extremely difficult to remove if they had been inserted or they were just too tight to put in at all.
All in all, I cannot recommend this item until the manufacturing process is attended to.

I didn't read the previous review and those of the Imperia drying rack until I had already ordered mine, if I had I wouldn't have bothered. However I was not disapointed. Some of the wooden pegs were loose in their drilled holes which is poor design/manufacture. A drop of wood glue to the ends of the dowels sorted this out.
The stand is otherwise just right, it is high enough and provides loads of storage space. I have used it a few times now and the pasta has not once stuch to the wooden rods.
I wood (pun) recommend if you have some adhesive available.

I was anticipating the need to glue all the dowels in after reading some reviews but that wasn't the case at all. The stand is easy to put together and easy to disassemble for storage purposes. Only used it once so far but it had more than enough room for all of the pasta I made from 500gr of flour. No moving parts so I expect it will be the only pasta drying stand I'll need to buy.
