Product Description

Peels, cores and slices apples (and also potatoes) in one easy motion. Using a traditional clamp fitting to hold the apple in place, peel is removed by simply turning the handle. To slice the apple, simply continue turning the handle whilst the core is removed and then remove the apple from the clamp. A lever action suction base secures the clamp to worktops, ensuring it is completely stable when in use. Ideal for use when batch cooking pies, jams, chutneys and sauces.
Wipe clean only.

I first saw this gadget on TV with Stephen Fry on his show the top 100 gadgets.
I was hooked and got one straight away.

I always prefer to eat an apple with the aid of a knife. A slice at a time always seems to taste better. This is the next best thing.

As a gadget loving male this is the equivalent to catnip or 'crack cocaine'.

It is one of those fabulous little machines that you love to play with.
You bung the apple or similar on the end and turn.

You need to experiment to get the perfect 'shave' of the apple but when you have the correct settings it peels the apple effectively once you.
The great think is that it slices the apple in one continues spiral (or should that be helix?)

You are left with a cylinder shape core.
Please chuck these out for the birds. Birds love them, especially Blackbirds which cannot get enough of windfalls. The big bonus is the birds will get the slugs as well!

The action of the machine always puts a smile on my face and I never get tired of using it. I know this sounds sad but hey a little time to play each day really is a stress buster.

You need to ensure to clean the machine which seems a drag if you peel just one apple and you have to take care with the blade which seems to be one of the sharpest I've ever encountered but it's really worth it.

We have a couple of apple trees and come chutney making time this is an enjoyable chore for me.
It's a heck of lot quicker than hand peeling.

Put simply if you have a relative that loves gadgets then this is THE machine for them.
Hours of fun and ensures your five a day is sated!

Fun to use, increased our apple intake as well, which has to be a good thing, highly recommended.

Only four stars because it's a bit of a pain to set the blades up correctly and the included instructions aren't clear about how to do that, but once you get it working, loads of fun...

First thing the handle would not screw on as the thread was not correct and as I was desperate for a peeler & corer I managed with the shank. Also it appears to be set up for a left handed person as you have to turn the handle with your left hand unless you reverse the machine. This I have had to do every time I peel an apple. It was not a problem as the mechanism which is supposed to hold the machine firmly on the table does not work either.
If I had not been overwhelmed with apples I would have returned it to you. The thing it does brilliantly is coring though the peeling is not so hot.

Need your apples peeling quickly with added fun? This is the gadget for you.

Will also peel 'evenly shaped potatoes' (which are excellent baked in the oven... seasoned... for large curly chips). Unfortunately, the apple parer and corer slicer does not work so well with limes, oranges and... likely... other types of citrus fruit. However, it seems to work fine with pears and other hard fruit such as other types of pears and apples.

For best results, enjoy using sensibly after a bottle of wine. 10 out of 10!

Fun to use and does a great job -- what more could you ask for from something that looks a bit Heath Robinson.....

Great kitchen gadget especially in an apple bumper year. It takes seconds to 'undress' an apple, and everyone is into eating fresh homegrown fruit direct from the tree. Got into making jars of stewed apple for winter puddings and gorgeous looking apple tarts! Only snag: it looked grey/blue on the picture, but the product is actually green!

My original corer (as pictured) was wonderful. When it broke I ordered the same one. Unfortunately the newer model is useless. It is silver in colour (nice looking) but has hardly any strength. It cannot cope with an eating apple, never mind a bramley. Very disappointed.
