The Kitchen Craft Clearview stainless steel porringer is designed to cook delicate sauces and melt chocolate. The lower pan envelopes the upper saucepan in water, thereby maintaining an even temperature to prevent the burning or curdling of sauces and custards and the burning of foods such as scrambled egg. The set includes a 16cm saucepan with a thick encapsulated base plus a 14cm insert with a rounded bottom. It also has a vented toughened glass steam lid and cool touch riveted side handles. Suitable for use on all types of hobs including induction. The porringer is dishwasher safe for easy maintenance.

All I could find to buy in France where I live was a bain marie to replace my old double saucepan (essential for sauces and porridge) not quite the thing until I found this on Amazon. Porridge to combat cholesterol and home made soup for all the essential vitamins.A lovely size and make - packed and sent perfectly.

Iv'e used this product for about 6 months and find it very good . Well made using good steel and the two bits fit together well

Needed this product for Christmas Day, or there would have been no sauce for the Christmas pudding. Despite being near to Christmas it arrived in time and is an excellent product. Looks really nice and is easy to use and clean.

Cheaply made and awkward to use and clean
