This is a great product. I don't have a large kitchen so when cooking the work surfaces are needed for everything but the cook book. This stand doesn't take up much room and I use it all time when cooking (especially baking).
I would thoroughly recommend this stand. It folds out and fixes itself at 3 different inclines, it's sturdy for really heavy cook books and it folds flat for storage in your cupboards.

This is the best I've ever used; its sturdy frame holds up the heaviest books.
I really like it. Good price and good support.

I bought this because of the positive reviews. I wonder what kind of books the other users have. This won't hold ANY kind of book open - no space for a fat book, and the little hooks are too flimsy to hold even a medium width book in place. Small books will flop off, and even large slim books don't remain properly open. So if you have Nigella, Jamie, Nigel or anyone else that writes recipes in ordinary sized books, this item ain't for you. Mine's just arrived and I'm returning it today.

I know some people have said that this does not accommodate large books, but I disagree (aside from humungous ones).

Handy recipe Book Holder
