I bought this along with a range of pots as I've recently moved into a new flat and wanted to start an in door herb garden. I didn't fancy paying the £2.99 Homebase wanted for the plants as I have room for 9 different herbs so bought this to grow my own from scratch.
When the item arrived I was a little disappointed. It comes with 6 seed packets but only 4 pots and 4 lots of "growing material" - so you still end up shelling out for additional pots and compost.
The "growing material" itself doesn't allow you to bed the seeds in so at the moment they are just resting on top of the mesh which covers the soil. The instructions weren't very clear as to whether this is correct or not, and 3 days in still not looking positive - no shoots yet.
The pots are not big enough to actually grow your herbs in long term, which is not a problem for me as I've already bought another lot for when the plants are bigger, but again additional cost if you're thinking this is a cheap way to start a herb garden.
Taking into account the postage and the extras I've already had to buy in addition to this pack, it's definitely cheaper to make the trip to your nearest garden centre or spend a little more time looking on Amazon. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this pack at all.
