Great product. Solid and sleek. Really looks cool. the audio output is great and if you plug the USB into an iphone mains charger (instead of apply USB cable) you can charge via mains output as well as USB computer connection.
Very simple and all that is needed really. Works beautifully with the Alarm clock app so that when the iPhone is standing you have a smart digital clock in the room.
obove all... what a great price... may well buy another for seperate location in the house as its such good value for money.
Maybe one shortfall would be the length of the USB cable (if connecting to mains)... but thats no biggie.

Bought this in October 2010 through Amazon. Product arrived quickly through normal free post.
I've got an I-phone4 and not all docking stations/players are compatible, however this one is simple and straight forward. It quite easily connects into the back of your stereo system allowing you to play music from the I-Pod.
The product is neat and tidy, and is sturdy when you stand your phone up in it. I tried a couple of docks in a national supermarket chain and the slightest nudge made them fall over, which put me off.
Although please bear in mind that if you've got a protective cover on your phone then you'll need to take it off due to the snug fit. This is the only downside, and why I haven't given the item 5 stars.

Having just upgraded to iPhone 4 (& frustrated that my existing 3G iPhone docks are defunct once again!) being on my 3rd version of the iPhone am now getting a little fed up shelling out £25 a time for genuine replacement ones every time I upgrade!
As I usually keep 2 (one for home, one for travelling) the additional replacement cost of another £50 for 2 new docks on top of the cost of my already expensive new phone is hard to take!
So after trolling the web for cheaper alternatives & seeing the very reasonable price of these docks, combined with a couple of already good reviews, decided to take the plunge & risk ordering a couple - after all, two of these are still way cheaper than buying a single original!
Boy am I glad I did, they're absolutely great!!
The black colour matches the phone, nice snug fit for the phone, they're weighty, large rubber footpad on the bottom, so no danger of them slipping or falling over, build quality is superb! They come complete with both a mini usb lead which connects the dock to your charger/computer, and a jack to phono lead which also allows connection of the dock to most external music sources such as hi-fi's, computer speaker systems etc from the jack connection plug on the rear of the dock, much the same as the original!
Can only say I'm delighted with the product, everything works as it should, great quality & with the inclusion of the additional jack to phono lead (which would normally cost around £3-£4 on it's own!) can only be classed as excellent value for money - as far as I'm concerned, at this price it's a no-brainer!

Shockingly bad
This product while it looks good - all it does is charge my iphone4. It fails to sync with itunes when plugged in.

has to be plugged in to pc
When i received this product i was surprised that it needed to be pugged in to a pc. i thought i was buying a mains dock. anyway i wouldn't recommend this product

Not really sure why you would pay £26 for the Apple dock when this works just as well - and in fact I can use the cable that comes in the pack to charge my work Blackberry too. Read more
