This cable has been designed to give you control of your devices and what's on them. Simply connect the USB to your PC/Mac, and your devices to the end tips, then use your itunes to specify what tunes go where. I bought this device as I wanted to be able to sync my iPhone and iPod at the same time so I had the same playlists etc.. on each. The cable is a nice size and not too bulky to keep on you at all times. Build quality feels good and the connector fits in nicely, unlike some of the cheaper products where you feel like your damaging the device just plugging it in!
I've had it working with iPad/iPhone and iPhone/iPod and there were no compatibility issues. iTunes displays the devices separately and its really handy for selecting a few dozen tracks/movies etc.. and transferring them onto each device.
The other great use for this product is its charging capability. It's freed up another plug as i have done away with my second apple charger and can charge both devices from this one plug. Its also been handy to link one connector to my Apple Docking station and use the other for charging my iPhone, its just means you need less cable which can never be a bad thing!
All in all very impressed with this, it solves a lot off small but annoying issues. I would recommend buying two so you can keep one as a twin charger and one in your Mac as a twin syncer.

I purchased this product merely as a way to charge 2 apple devices at once in my Bedroom... Both I and my Boyfriend have all sorts of apple devices and constantly fight over the bedside table charging port! This product provides a simple tidy solution.
I haven't used it for the syncing function yet so can't comment there? Sure its fine though J

Maybe I was expecting to much from my Core 2 duo Mac Mini(8Gb of ram) but if I use the lead to sync 2 ipods at the same time all i get is the infamous bouncing beachball as the machine just hasn't got the resources (USB2 is a bottle neck as well)
Having said that I can use the lead to charge 2 Ipods at the same time, so it is of some use to me.
I should have checked by plugin in 2 Ipods using seperate leads before buying, but still it does free up one USB port when I'm charging up 2 Ipods.
