Compact 7" x 2" x 1.5" and very light to carry, even with 4xAAA batteries inside (I use 1000mAh re-chargeables cos higher volumes can be quite heavy on power)
Designed really to sit on the desk in front of you, or the shelf above your bed, but as loud as the old transistor radios if you want background music, tho any stereo effect is lost at a distance.
Supplied with a 36" USB to 5v cable for POWER only if you don't want batteries, an 18" 3.5mm jack male-to-male signal cable, a 2.5mm 4-way-male-jack to 3.5mm female adapter and a carry bag!!
The main issue with cheap speakers is the high pitched plastic rattle you get at higher volumes, but these don't seem to rattle so much.
If they start rattling in use I'll update my review !!
Possible downside is that the speaker cones are exposed, so you can easily poke them out, but I didn't fancy the (slightly cheaper) folding ones because I think they look a bit cheap and I quite like the look of these.
This means you need some cardboard to protect the cones in transit, but they arrived in a card box in a jiffy bag, so I'll keep the box.
