I was fed-up by the continual change in charger needs when up grading phones satnav etc. This product means only one charger and the appliances USB cable does the job and as a bonus it does it for two bits of kit. The fact that it can be bent to a series of angles means it can be folded out of the way a further bonus if your car has the power source on the consol between the front seats.

My TomTom car2usb cable had started falling apart - and I have kids with DS, my phone etc etc, all these days charging via a USB port of some sort. So, having a car adapter that fronts a USB port - and not just one but two - seemed the obvious choice - one adpapter for all instead of a car full of different adapters.
I have only used it on my TomTom so far, but it worked a treat so very pleased - cheap too compared to single purpose alternatives - why would anyone bother with anything else?

Arrived quickly. Looks well made. Surprised there is no indication on the charger or the packaging as to the output voltage (assumed 5 volt as its USB) or, more importantly, amperage. The amperage would be relevant to charging larger items like tablets. Probably fine for small items like smart phones etc.

Advertised as being for use with all mobile phones with USB charging. Will not charge my Samsung Galaxy Ace and will not charge my daughter's LG A225. OK with my wife's Sony TXT.
