Guilty pleasures 4 Feb 2009
By Robert Frampton VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
As anybody who knows me will already apreciate, this kind of box set is geek nirvana. Hordes of bootleg and TV-filmed performances (some even in black & white for God's sake!)of early KISS, showing the raw energy that grabbed them a place in the hearts of the NY music scene of the early 70s, and laid the foundation for world domination only a few years later.
If you're a casual fan some of this is barely watchable home video quality. If you're a hardcore fan it's like CCTV footage of the Big Bang!

A pretty interesting visual document of Kiss at their prime. There is so much material here that at times it gets a little samey and some of the footage is pretty poor bootleg quality. However if you like this era of Kiss as I do, you'll love this!

kiss heaven 8 Feb 2009
By Mr Blackwell TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
depite some poor quality footage, almost bootleg quality at times, this box set is a fantastic way of collecting early kiss all in the one place, the early tv shows are great although in most cases there are performances missing, highlight is the tokyo show - superb, houston summit coming a close second, must admit im a bit surprised that anaheim '76 was not included, maybe that will be kissology 4 : 'the bits we missed',in summary you cant go wrong with this collection.
