Flash Fiction is the literary equivalent of Minimalism in Art. In a way similar to Minimalism, Flash Fiction conjures a complete picture out of what at first seems too few pieces. Yet, miraculously, the story completes itself without apparent effort. 'Kissing Frankenstein and Other Stories' manages this extraordinary feat not once but fifty-three times! Each story in this collection challenges, you, the reader, to work out how the trick is done, but as the trick is done fifty-three different ways you have some work to do. On the other hand, you could just enjoy the pleasure of fifty-three very different, but very well written and enjoyable stories. The choice is yours.

From its neat slim-line feel to its perfect prose (some stories fit on a page, or less) this collection showcases the talent in the South West of England, with stories that travel far and wide, but always delight. Highly, hugely recommended!

I have to declare an interest, as I wrote two of the stories, but the others have amazed, delighted, surprised and amused me. A lovely little book showing a taster of the West Country's literary potential. Not just a pleasure for a reader, but setting the bar for new writers, experienced writers and people who enjoy flash fiction.
