Review

'With lying lovers, quirky neighbours and heartbreak, life isn't always a beach for the characters of Highmore's fifth book, but her humour and unsentimental manner make for the perfect beach read' -- Times of India 20070114 'A comedy of errors which is full of wit and humour - the perfect antidote to the long ark nights' Nottingham Evening Post" -- Nottingham Evening Post 20061202 --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Product Description

Joanna Trollope meets Catherine Alliott - delightfully witty and observant Tim's own life is in chaos, but he's paid for his qualification as a life coach, and he's going to use it. When his new, and only, client tells him she's had a windfall, he believes he really could turn his -- and of course her -- life around. But he doesn't know that there's more to Debbie than the scruffy, overweight drudge she appears to be. Because all journalists like her have to find a story somewhere, and Debbie's found hers in the little seaside town of Shelcombe, and its eccentric inhabitants. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

Who's Coaching Who? 4 Dec 2007
By elkiedee VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
I've discovered that Julie Highmore's novels make thoroughly enjoyable light reading.

Tim is relieved to get a new client for his services as a life coach. He could certainly do with the money. We quickly learn that Deborah aka Debbie is an undercover journalist researching an article on life coaching, and that her life coach has some problems of his own to sort out. As do his ex-wife and daughter, and several other characters. The story is fluently written, and I turned the pages eagerly, I really enjoyed the affectionate and witty portrait of the characters, and ultimately it's a very feelgood read.

I really liked this book.I'm a fan of Julie Highmore and read all her books.this could be her best yet. It's very funny, with lots of great characters. When Tim gets his qualification as a life coach he gets his first client who tells him she's just had a large windfall.he thinks his luck could change[hers too as well].But his ex-wife and daughter think there's something odd about her.Could be the dodgy wig or strange accent.Well there is,she's an undercover reporter.I could not put this book down.
