With Progressive Scan technology built in, the DP-1000 provides superb DVD playback. In addition to playing movies, the player can be used to view JPEG files from a CD, allowing you to share your digital photos with a wider audience using your TV. On the audio side, as well as the ability to play back standard audio CDs, DP-1000 owners have the ability to listen to tracks recorded in the popular MP3 and Ogg Vorbis formats.

The DP-1000 is also a very well connected machine. As well as component, s-video and composite video outputs there's also high quality RGB via SCART, Dolby Digital/MPEG 5.1 digital, analogue stereo and S/PDIF outputs.
