His duty...her pleasure.

…and the Beast, Book 2

After three years at war, Ennon bears the burden of seeing the High Lord’s vast armies home. Keeping thousands of fiercely independent lions in line isn’t easy. When his soldiers discover a beautiful, royal female hidden beneath an illusion spell, the lure of her inheritance threatens the order of his camp.

The men of her family protected Kisri, until the war stole them away. Tired of defending herself from greedy suitors, she’s in search of her only remaining male relative. Instead she finds Ennon, her cousin’s most dangerous warrior. Perhaps the only man in the kingdom who has no interest in claiming her birthright. Which makes him unique…and tempting.

Delivering Kisri to his High Lord’s side—while keeping his distance—is Ennon’s one and only duty. Yet Kisri’s untutored advances crack his formidable resistance. And she proves to be a dangerously adept student. Especially when their passion wakes a magic beyond their control…

Warning: This story contains a dangerous shapeshifter warlord, a lioness with a sword, innocent passion, sexual awakenings and a happily-ever-after worthy of any fairy tale.

Steamy fairy tale 3 July 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
(This review was originally posted on Book Lovers Inc)

Kisri is the 2nd short story in the ...And the Beast series (I love the name of that series by the way). I knew before opening this book that I would be in for a treat. I've yet to come across a Moira Rogers book I didn't enjoy (I know, I'm rambling to when it comes to their books *wink*). On a totally shallow note, I'm fascinated by this cover. It's just so pretty and sensual *happy sigh*

Kisri is the High-Lord's cousin. She's a beautiful woman and she has quite a big dowry, which means that most men want her for her fortune. They don't really care that she's an intelligent and independent (and strong) woman. She's been trying to escape these men for years but now she finds herself in need of protection. Kisri decides to ask her cousin, Malrion, for protection but on her way to him she meets Malrion's first warrior Ennon.

I really enjoyed seeing Kisri and Ennon together. What starts as a simple experiment quickly evolves into something deeper and meaningful. I loved that Kisri thinks he's strong enough to deserve her. Her sexual education was very hot. I think it's the main highlight of the book, the smex scenes are hot and erotic (ain't that the goal? *wink*) and leave you satiated with a big smile on your face.

This very cute and sensual fairy tale is easy to read. It's a treat you can gobble up when you're feeling a bit down . I can't recommend this series enough, seriously you won't regret it. Short, sweet, hot, it's everything you need in 60 pages.

I give Kisri 4 1/2 Bookies

It's really 4.5 stars, so I rounded up :)

I loved this novella, and I love Moira Rogers' writing. I liked this one a little better than Sabine, but just a smidgen. I love the shifters, and the sex is amazingly well-written. I was told that there are two more stories coming in this series so I am very excited about that.

My only issue stems from a personal ick of mine and that is the fact that Kisri is a virgin and a main plot point involves taking her virginity. It is very well-written, and I won't let my personal icks get in the way of a very well written story. Also, I would have rated it higher, if it was longer, because I wanted more! :)

Hot Fairy Tale 21 Jun 2011
By LAS Reviewer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is another short but hot original fairy tale from the talented Moira Rogers.

As the last female of her family, Kisri is determined to reach her cousin, Malrion, High Lord of the Plains, to seek his protection, before any of the ambitious males can mate her against her will. Not only is she the last royal and single female, she is rich and attractive. She is also determined to find the one male who would gain nothing from mating with her: someone who wants her for herself.

Using magic to create a glamour, she disguises herself as a male, and travels with the troops heading home under the lead of the First Warlord, Ennon. When she is discovered in the camp, Ennon sends word to Malrion, and is told to bring her directly to Malrion, protecting her from harm. Kisri discovers in Ennon a man worthy of respect, and more important, a virile and desirable man, one with no need of what she has.

As they travel together, Kisri is determined to lose her innocence, and sets out to seduce Ennon. Can Kisri convince Ennon to teach her to be a woman, and please her lioness as well as her woman? Can Ennon keep his heart from becoming involved with the tempting female traveling with him? When he succumbs to Kisri's charms, will Ennon survive Malrion's judgment?

I love the world Ms. Rogers has created, and the characters are a delight to watch. This is definitely something to read when you want a quick and hot shot of romance.

Kisri is determined to find her own mate. She is smart and strong, and willing to take matters into her own hands concerning her future. I enjoyed watching as she slowly worked her way under Ennon's skin, and into first his bed and then into his heart. She is brave and crafty, as well, and well able to take care of herself.

Ennon is the strong and courageous First Warlord of the Plains, a man that commands his troops with both intelligence and honor. He is determined to resist temptation as far as Kisri is concerned, but underestimates her determination where he is concerned. But he makes a serious mistake, and has to face the consequences of his action when they reach the camp of the High Lord, Malrion. I love Ennon, with his sense of honor and his willingness to take the punishment he knows he deserves.

This is a marvelous story of romance, seduction and happy endings. The passion that Ennon and Kisri share along their journey is at first sweet, and then hot and passionate as they near their destination.

I love Ms. Rogers' new fairy tales, and wonder what is next in store for all of the readers who never really grew out of fairy tales. I am one of those folks, and I hope to see many more in this line from Ms. Rogers. So these two get their happy ever after? Read Kisri and the Beast for your answer.

"Kisri is a fiery tale about first and everlasting love." 28 Nov 2011

Kisri is a royal disguising herself as a man in the middle of an encampment of soldiers. Since the war began she has seen the males of her family disappear. As a Royal Lady she would make a great prize to any man. After fending off the masses of eager men, Kisri has decided to go to her cousin the High Lord. However, Kisri gets way more than she bargained for along the way.

Ennon is a Warlord for the High Lord. After three years of war he is anxious to get his armies home to their families. Ennon is stunned to discover a Royal Lady has been hiding among his men. He is even more surprised to see the beautiful Kisri and knows it is his duty to see her safely to her cousin. Their journey may be arduous but not for the reasons he expects. Keeping his paws off Kisri may be the hardest job he's ever been tasked with.

Kisri is a passionate story filled with witty banter and sexy characters. There is something endearingly sweet about Kisri. I loved Kisri's take charge attitude. She is a very strong character who has no problem saying exactly what she wants and finding a way to get it. Ennon and Kisri make a great couple because both are strong, independent and caring. I found myself laughing many times during Kisri. I could definitely read about these two again. Kisri is a fiery tale about first and everlasting love.
