Produced by Nikola Parov of "Riverdance" fame, this virtuoso album has Marta singing in different languages and musical traditions. She splices together 'Derry Quay' with 'Eleni', alternating English & Greek verses. Equally astonishing is the Irish/Hungarian mix of 'Shores of Loch Brann with 'Hazafele'. She sings a Hindi lullaby beautifully. And the heartbreaking Bosnian song 'Gold, Silver or Love' has a breathtaking poignance that you will rarely if ever hear the equal of. This album displays why Marta is rightly regarded as one of the very greatest traditional singers in Europe today.

Possibly the best female voice in World or International Folk music, supported by superb instramentalists. This album has songs from her native Hungary but also intertwined with English folk songs. The slower songs - of which there are too many - got me a little bored, brilliantly done though they are. I prefer the livelier stuff, of which the first track is outstanding. Saw her years ago at the Pontardawe Folk Fest (RIP) and she is still as good as ever. Very little British folk music reaches these sophisticated heights.

The combination of Marta's voice and the sublime instrumentals make this particular recording a five star rating. The music covers folk songs from Irish, Indian and Hungarian history. It sooths me to listen repeatedly to this all day. Marta's voice seems to carry on in the most beautiful draw out vocals, reaching to the Indian sky.
