Violins tickle up and down, zithers, guitars and every conceivable drum move around scale patterns like a confused songbook, but none of them can out do the soft flexing voice of Marta. Like a resourceful mother patching a pair of pants, she can take a piece of the Balkans and make it work with a Hindi lullaby or an Irish lament. Perhaps this is because of the duet with mix-and-match experts Deep Forest, but KISMET makes sure we forget that, the songs are far to beautiful to be cluttered by technecalities.
