Old Baghdad as only Hollywood could imagine it!!Visually this is stunning and is camper than a row of tents(makes Golden Girls look like Rambo!)Marlene's costumes, hairdo's and dancing have to be seen to be believed,in fact this whole film is a delicious confection which,at times, makes your jaw drop and not always for the right reason! This is a real study in ott sets (stagey at times but still incredible),dialogue and costumes (and we are talking the mens costumes as well here) .
If you like that sort of thing then this is one of the best and its all in glorious technicolour!!!
All of this is well restored but I did have to have the volume turned up as the soundtrack did seem a little weak .

The transfer is pretty fuzzy and has seriously degraded colours. Hardly what one expects from Glorious Technicolor. It looks like a copy of an old VHS tape.
It also has no subtitles, and this is not stated by Amazon or on the case.
This is a pity, as I remember it as being very entertaining. I sent it back.
