Format:Paperback
which commences with a two-page simple snowy spread featuring Kipper setting out with his spade...and the same scene, albeit with less falling snow......winding up the anticipation!

This book is always one of the favourites at this time of the year, for the 'extra' who adds to that enthusiasm to turn the page!

From the back cover:-

'On Christmas Eve the little fir tree that Kipper finds is not the only thing he brings home.'

Attractive covers open to 32 high quality shiny pages, packed full of clear and descriptive text, with the usual endearing illustrations, in the popular 2-page spread format.

Example of text:-

'Which is best?' said Kipper to himself.
'Christmas Day? Or Christmas Eve?'
He reached the top of Big Hill and stopped.
'Presents? Or expecting presents?'
And then, because he was too excited to decide, he just whooped, and went charging down the slope towards the wood.
It was Christmas Eve and he was looking for a Christmas tree to take home.........'

And Kipper soon spots just the right little tree, but it is a lot harder work than he thinks!
Pig helps and although Arnold notices 'something', Kipper and Pig are much too busy....all day!
Tiger arrives later on and, as the friends finally wind up for the day, Kipper is not the only one who is wide awake...waiting for Father Christmas!

It's so refershing to have a book that demonstrates to children that the fun of Xmas is about friends and the expectation - not the actual presents of Xmas! I'm sure it wasn't the authors intention but that's a happy byproduct - and my 3 year old loves it..
