About the Author
Norman Newton was born in Glasgow in 1944, but spent his teenage years in New Zealand. In 1971 he returned to Scotland to work, first at Glasgow University Library, and then in public libraries in Campbeltown and Inverness. He has written extensively on Scottish islands, Highland history and archaeology.

A great book giving historical info and useful info about local attractions. A more detailed map would be useful though. Definitely a good buy.

not yet been on holiday so can't rate it's usefulness but the photos are lovely. Lets hope the weather is as nice when we are there/
