Good on its own but not with Yamaha YPT200-K,
By
This review is from: Kinsman KS17 Black Heavy Duty Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
The stand is advertised with Yamaha YPT200-K Portable Keyboard With 61 Full Size Keys. But the keyboard doesn't sit steadily on the stand. The stand is meant for some other keyboard, not ypt200-k one for sure.
But, the stand on its own is sturdy. It was very easy to assemble, though it doesn't come with any instruction manual. I managed to position my ypt200-k on the stand (just because I was lazy to return it), but I just have to make sure that I don't move the keyboard around the room. And be very careful when kids go near it. If you are buying this for ypt200-k, I would recommend not to.

Does the job.,

This review is from: Kinsman KS17 Black Heavy Duty Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
Its a simple product, so 5 stars would be going overboard, but it certainly does the job. Four alan-key type screws hold the 4 bars to the X frame (alan key supplied), and then a sprung mechanism lets you choose the height - there's a half-moon piece with holes drilled in it, located on the pivot point of the X frame, and a peg which you pull out and which springs back into whichever hole you line it up with, securing the frame at your chosen height. Simple. Assembled in under 5 minutes.

Excellent for the price,

This review is from: Kinsman KS17 Black Heavy Duty Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
Received this item today and it's very sturdy and easy to assemble (2 mins with the included Allen Key). The rubber pads hold the keyboard firmly in place with no noticeable movement. It felt so secure that I actually lifted the stand with keyboard atop to another place in the room and again no movement despite the stand being tilted as I moved it.
The locking / adjusting mechanism requires a substantial effort to change settings which gives confidence that the stand isn't going to collapse mid-performance! The adjustable height levels are very sensible and suitable both for sitting and standing. Finally, the stand folds away compactly for storage. Do yourself a favour and buy this stand and something for £2 to get free Super Saver Delivery. Although that takes it to the same price (£15) as Argos' budget stand the difference is like night and day. This stand wouldn't be out of place in a recording studio whilst the Argos stand wouldn't be out of place in a scrapyard.
