I bought this for my wife's laptop, which is running on WinXP SP3. At first it didn't recognise the microphone at all, then after a lot of research I found that there was an INF. file missing which apparently can be corrupted by the service pack. I found an INF. file on the net and installed it. The mic was then recognised but sound level was quite low. The settings were set at maximum for the sound card and it was usable for Skype but we had to hold it fairly close to where we were sitting.

Overall, it did work but not as well as I had hoped.

Bought it for Dragon Naturally Speaking and for this it is great. Used it to dictate. Award 5 Stars.

However, I also make videos for youtube and the voice over quality is very poor.
Sounds like I am in a tin box across the street.

For Dragon I give it 5 Stars but for Voice Over on Video I give it 1 Star.
(5+1)/2 = 3 Stars.

For some reason a programme called voice.exe opened with this when it was loaded and Norton had to remove a Trojan horse virus before it struck my computer. This is possibly nothing to do with the product but something to watch out for...
