The price just keeps going down ... this much storage for this price has to be good, and this is a dinky little toy, but in my experience transfer speeds are slow ... maybe about 20mins for 2Gb.

These USB memory sticks just keep getting cheaper and their capacity greater. I have a few different Kingston memory cards and like the rest, I've had no problems with this. It works with Windows Vista without any additional software needing to be installed, transfer rates are quite quick, the cover can be clipped on the end so it doesn't get lost and you can attach a lanyard if you want. At the time I bought it I compared it with similar devices online and from local shops, and even allowing for the postage and packing, Amazon came out cheaper.

As other reviewers have said, the postage costs are almost as much as the stated price of the device which makes price comparison more difficult, so be aware if you are comparing. That said, I would still buy this again from Amazon unless I could find it cheaper elsewhere.

I'm sure that the item - once received - will do the job it's asked to do.

However, the postage charge is unbelieveable. I was charged £9.98 postage on a £6.50 item. Unfortunately, because I bought another item at the same time, I didn't notice this huge charge until afterwards.

For that price, I would more than expect next day delivery, but it's taken at least three days to arrive.

The other item I ordered was a car CD unit. The postage for this item was £5.50 (and it's not a light item) and it arrived less than 24 hours after ordering.

Update: I've now received the item, although it is a completely different brand, even the order details have changed.

However, for £9.98 charged postage, you get an A5 sized jiffy bag (50p - £1) and the actual postage cost (because I weighed it) is 48p!

This is a flash memory pen that is compact, lightweight and easy to use. Plug and play. Do not have USB2 but the speed of loading of 500 images was an incredible 2minutes so if using USB2 the load would be competed in a flash.

So impressed with the product immiediatly ordered another 2 for my daughter in Sydney.

A fantastic product at an amazing prize and with a 5 year warranty you cannot go wrong.

Makes an ideal companion for my Photoframe. Only one criticism and that is nothing to do with the product but with Amazon'slack of communication in despatch of order. No information forthcoming until I personally tracked order to find it had not been despatched as order needed verifacion and the system had not communicated with me. In consequence the delivery period was extended and if I had not tracked progress would still be waiting. Poor show on delivery but first class in price and product..

Cant complain for £20. Got there in three days. Have been using for over two weeks and think it's class. Very quick with USB 2.0, moved two 800mb files in less than 8 minutes nearly as quick as burning a disk. Not found one cheaper. Definitely recommend.

A lot of memory for the price but I can't persuade it to work on the Windows 98SE computers at work.

The advert says "OS Compatibility WindowsXP, Windows2000, WindowsMe, Windows98SE" but the when you go to the Kingston website to download the necessary driver it says they've stopped supporting '98 and neither the original driver from the website nor the alternative driver work for me.

Anybody want a cheap USB drive?

Verified Purchase
I purchased two of these from Amazon. The removable cap fits on the back of the flash stick reducing the chances of you losing it.

On my Intel iMac using the USB 2.0 port I see...

2MB/s write speed

8MB/s read speed

So it takes about 8.5 minutes to write 1GB of data and about 2 minutes to read it on or off the device.
