Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Break from the limitations of traditional memory devices and put more storage at your fingertips with Kingston Technology's Secure Digital (SD) memory cards. The latest in the Kingston family, SD memory cards combine massive storage capacity, blazing data transfer rates and ironclad security in a memory card no bigger than a postage stamp.

SD memory cards from Kingston are built of non-volatile memory components, meaning they keep the information stored on them without needing power. For added reliability and durability, our solid-state SD memory cards have no moving parts to wear out or break.

Quickly and easily download and transfer secure digital files between various digital devices, a computer and the Internet. An SD memory card reader makes it easy to upload files from an SD memory card to a computer. The beauty of the SD memory card is its huge capacity in such a tiny package, making it an ideal expansion option for the smallest of devices. Kingston SD memory cards are compatible with:

Digital audio players (MP3)

Digital cameras

PDAs and handheld computers

Cellular phones and smart phones

Global positioning systems (GPS)

Kingston SD memory cards represent a technological leap over MMC, including cryptographic security protection of proprietary data and a four-fold increase in data transfer rates. SD memory cards are slightly thicker than MMC, and most devices designed to accept SD memory cards are backward compatible to accept MMC as well. If you are unsure whether your device accepts both SD memory cards and MMC, consult your product's user manual.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kingston 256mb SD Card 21 Jun 2004
By A Customer
Absolutely no problems - went for Kingston because it is a well known brand and the five year warranty backs up their reputation. Used it in my new Pentax Optio 33LF camera and it worked fine immediately. Write and read speed was excellent. also excellent service from Digifocus - the card arrived witnin 24 hours of ordering, although I thought the £5.01 postage fee was a little steep. However, even when this was included it was still way below what you would pay at a high street outlet. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some good piece of Silicon! 30 Oct 2005
Does what it says on the package. I have experienced no significant problems with this SD card.
This is the most cheapest and the one of the best quality SD cards I have researched so far.

I was thinking about purchasing the Viking 256Mb SD card, (ASIN:B00009J3V7), at a price of £7.11. This particular card did became my 1st choice, but it has been let down by its bad reviews. Therefore it has a lower rating than Kingston's.
Kingston's price is more expensive than Vikings, but the quality is worth its price.

I use this card into my Digital camera, the Samsung Digimax i5.

I rate this Kingston SD card 98%, or roughly 5/5 stars. Well done Kingston, please continue your fine work.
I would recommend this SD card to everyone.
