Product Description

A tough Los Angeles detective is the last hope for a runaway girl who believes that a relentless enemy has pursued her across many lifetimes - from one incarnation to the next - dating from the time of the Crusades, and the moment she first encountered the mysterious object she calls The King's X.

Special Kindle Edition includes a sneak preview of CORSAIR - coming this summer - plus an interview with Stephen T. Harper on his new novel and the coming sequel, King's X: LEGION

Praise for King's X...

"This is a 'stand up and take notice' story from a truly gifted writer.  The most original adventure I've seen in years.  "The Matrix" crossed with "The Da Vinci Code."  King's X is dark, beautiful, and very provocative.  I've had the story stuck in my head since the first time I read it."
-- Ken Miller, Film and TV Producer - "Charmed"

"Stephen T. Harper is a master of words.  I stayed awake all night to finish, heart pounding, eyes bulging with every new twist, and the ending almost killed me!" -- The Paperback Pursuer

"...completely engaging from beginning to end.  WoW...just wow.  Harper really understands language."
-- NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Tamara Rose Blodgett

"King's X" belongs to that rare breed of books whose seemingly high-concept premise in fact shields a tightly crafted and deeply affecting story. Harper expertly balances character and conspiracy in a universe that will grab you from the very first chapter." -- Line Zero Magazine

"This book has grabbed me. ...really well written and I liked the author's style. Big thumbs up!" -- Booked Up

"...a very well thought-out book with lots of suspense, twists, and history. I give it 5 stars. If you love a good suspense/thriller, you'll love this book!" -- Paranormal Opinion

"King's X is a rare reader experience: an authentic thrill-ride that reads like literary fiction.  A must-read destined to become a classic!"
-- Laura Taylor, Author of "Honor Bound"

"...starts out mid-action and doesn't seem to slow down even when the author is describing delicate women in quiet moments with the men they care for... Pick up King's X. You won't be sorry." -- Into The Morning Reads

"A good, possibly great book." -- Amazon UK Reader Review

"One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE reads this year!  Maybe this DECADE!" -- Amazon US Reader Review

4.0 out of 5 stars A good, possibly great, book 28 Jan 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
First thing I read on kindle and I have to say that it's a good, exciting and historically interesting book.I liked the characters and I liked the setting. The story flows really well and although it can jump about a bit, it never leaves you behind. The characters are believable and you'll both love and hate some of them. I got it when it was free, and thoroughly enjoyed it so price wise I'm very happy. I am intrigued to see where the writer will go with the Kings X story, as he has promised other books. This story does, however, stand on it's own, with the possibility of a sequel if the writer is so inclined, but then all good books should leave that door open somewhere. I look forward to reading more Stephen T Harper books if this is the standard I can expect. Well done sir!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heroes, Knights and a Shepherd 19 Feb 2013
By Rowanna
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Stephen's writing is methodical and detailed, with excellent attention to detail. I love his treatment of the Knight's Templar - and have to agree with the reviewer who said the history is "cleverly paced" - not the normal couple of pages of description before you get anywhere near a character. This book is peopled with heroes, from the spunky 16-year-old who has lived before to the hunky detective who is the only person capable of saving her from the evil Shepherd.*shudders* And all I'm saying about Shahin is Johnny Depp in heavy black curls. Nuff said.

4.0 out of 5 stars The search for a sacred ancient artefact 11 Dec 2011
By Cheryl M-M TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
It is a fantasy with elements of past lives and reincarnation. Characters seeking one another out over the centuries to fulfill their respective duties. Combined within that are the Templar Knights, who are of course in the midst of a sacred ancient item mystery. So it ticks all the boxes for an epic story, which it is, but I thought it was too drawn out. It wasn't until over halfway through that any why, who or what questions were answered. I also felt that it got confusing now and again, sort of too much info and not enough clarification. For instance when Molly ended up in the car with the Shepherd, where did he come from? Saying that I enjoyed the read and think the writer has a lot of potential.

If you can't say anything good about something, refrain from comment.

I have a Kindle keyboard. It has a squared off navigation button. If you highlight this particular book on your screen and push the key to the left, a narrative box comes up asking if you want to delete content. I advise pressing the button to accept this choice.
