Christine Marion Fraser always writes well, and this book is no exception. She manages to capture the essence of her characters in such a way that you feel you know them. Kings Farewll is the culmination of a wonderful series set in the past. It doesn't hide from life, which is one of the things I like best about this author's writing. If it's pertinent to the story to mention one of life's unpleasantries, Christine writes about it. She also brings humour, love and trajedy into her stories. Kings Farewell, the end of the Kings saga, ties up the ends of an era nicely. You feel that everything is explained, and there are no unanswered questions. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful descriptions of the scenery, clothes, and personalities in the book. I also thought it was beautifully presented. My only complaint about it was that it was the end of the road for the Kings series. It was a wonderful story and I want more!
