This is a good book on the subject, and the photos are sharp, but somehow it's not quite up to Kingfisher: Tales from the Halcyon River
This is a hardback book, with a picture of the bird on the cover, outlined in black, and there are excellent pictures. There is the full life history of the bird.
The other book is just that little bit better, if you have that and want more, this is worth buying, if you don't, then you want that first.
