I bought this after DK discontinued the old one and the newer version is now published by kingfisher.
David Burnie covers some interesting animal facts over a whole range of animals and the pictures and referencing are just spot on!
As a family, we are quite into animals and I often find myself looking at the book before we go to a different zoo so that I can tell the children something new and interesting!
My three year old loves to handle it herself and look at all the pictures - the pages are of reasonable quality so it is suitable for smaller hands!
I am sure we will use this book for many more years! Grab a bargain while you can!

This book has been a great addition to our library. It provides short, concise blurbs about a variety of animals. It is also filled with amazing photographs of the animals discussed. Great reference!

Great for kids!

My twin nieces are obsessed with the animal kingdom. I bought them this for their 5th birthday and it's been one year and they're still not bored with it! My brother says it's nice because when he reads with them he learns something new too!
