Product Description

Product Description

When we pray ''Your Kingdom Come", what do we mean? Local neighbourhoods everywhere are affected by global changes, including the death of a single religious vision, shifting work and family patterns, and widespread scepticism. Violence and tension are rising. There is a way forward. Churches are taking a lead in community cohesion and transformation. If we are faithful, the future is full of hope. Duncan outlines a 'Kingdom approach' affecting every area of community life. From housing to healthcare, from citizenship to crime prevention, ordinary Christians and local churches have a vital role to play. This is a manifesto for social transformation, peppered with examples from across the Western world.

About the Author

Previously Head of Mission at Evangelical Alliance, Rev. Malcolm Duncan is now Movement Director at Faithworks. An Elim minister originally from Northern Ireland, he is a very active speaker and writer.

By A. Mint
Format:Paperback
Written by the leader of Faithworks, buyers of the book will know what they are getting. Malcolm is about encouraging Christians in this country to be a positive force for good in their changing communities. He tackles a number of difficult issues of compromise, along with helpful ways to relate to those around us and share our faith.
Against a backdrop of scepticism and neighbourhood violence, Malcolm lays out a blueprint for a way forward for churches within a biblical context.
