Product Description

The epic adventure continues! Unleash the power of your imagination and enter a world you've never dreamed existed! Best-selling author Robert Stanek delivers an epic fantasy adventure that will open your mind and your heart.

Officially, Ruin Mist is the name used for the fictional universe of Robert Stanek. The name "Ruin Mist" is the common language translation of an ancient elvish word, which means "the lost ages" or "the ruins of time."

The one hope of the peoples of Ruin Mist was Queen Mother, the elf queen of old. She saw a way out of everlasting darkness, a path that required the union of the divided peoples. Yet the Elves of the West did not share her vision. They thought her mad and answered her call for help with a call to arms. Now for the first time in recorded history, the armies of the West are marching toward the sacred city of the East and an unholy war where elf must fight elf is inevitable.

Though despair abounds and evil seeks to reign, there is hope. Queen Mother sees hope through a union of the divided peoples: an alliance of men and elves to fight against the forces of darkness. But between men and elves, there is no love and little trust. Only truth and faith can guide their destinies.

5.0 out of 5 stars KMT was fun introduction; KA is spectacular 16 Aug 2003
Format:Paperback
I bought this book and KMT without any knowledge of Robert Stanek or the Ruin Mist series. Keeper Martin’s Tale, the first book in the series, is a really good introduction to Stanek’s world of Ruin Mist. In it you meet new frieds like Adrina, Vilmos and Emel.
I picked KMT up several months ago and Elf Queen’s Quest and Kingdom Alliance were out as well, but I figured I'd pick up the two volumes just to see how I liked the series. I've since read all THREE books and am waiting with anticipation for "Fields of Honor" and “Mark of the Dragon”. Robert Stanek sees the story through a variety of characters and I was extremely impressed with this novel and also book 1 of the series. It’s a must read for any fantasy fan.
