Fed up with waiting for a region 2 release of my favourite cartoon series, this box set took a couple of weeks to arrive from the States. Packaging seems pretty cheap compared with the UK releases - just three double sided disks and no extras, but no big deal. What I wanted was further hill-arious adventures and I have not been disappointed! As with previous series, there is poignancy here (Bobby and Konnie's relationship), some surprisingly profound characterisation (Hank and Cotton's relationship) and lots and lots of laughs! Peggy's unfailing belief in the fluency of her Spanish on a school trip to Mexico is an absolute comedy tour-de-force! Watch out also for the double length Japanese feature containing some brilliantly observed humour, as Hank meets his long-lost half-brother. A couple of episodes seemed a little flat (the Olympic flame one springs to mind) but, on the whole, this is as good a series as any and highly recommended.
PS. Make sure your DVD player is multi region before ordering!
PPS. For an added laugh, try a couple of episodes with the Spanish language option. Boomhauer talking gibberish in Spanish and Kahn talking Spanish with a Laotian accent are side-splittingly funny!

The sixth season is another great addition to King of the Hill. It feature great episodes such as "Bobby Goes Nuts" (where Bobby attends a female defense class and later kicks Hank in a certain area), "Lupe's Revenge" (a hilarious episode where Peggy's ineptness at Spanish is demonstrated), "Father of the Bribe" and "I'm With Cupid" (a two-part episode where Bobby and Connie break up), "Torch Song Hillogy" (where Hank drops the Olympic torch). There are many more classics in the season, maybe too many to list. Hopefully 20th Century Fox will release the sixth season in Region two one day.

Interesting season, story goes in a bit different direction. Some great episodes but most are alright. Boxset seemed a bit on the cheap side though, but this was my first region one boxset I have bought. Normally I get region two or four so maybe that is why. I.e. Dual Layer DVD's were not used, but double sided discs instead.
However if you love King of the hill, I still would recommend getting this boxset.
