An amazing book, full of gory, full blooded details. The battles scene excell themselves, and complete with it's gripping storyline and plot, I think it makes one of David Gemmell's best. Set one hundred years or so after "Legend", this book describes the life and times of Tenaka Khan, a mixed-blood, descended from both Regnak, the second Earl of Bronze, and Ulric, the Great Uniter of the great Nadir rabbles. A definite one to read if you are into gripping fantasy novels such as Mr. Gemmell's fine works.

Yet again Gemmel brings us a Forlorn hope , when a group of mountain villagers rebel against the mad Drenai emperor it takes 3 heroes each seeking their own death to turn the tide of battle and free the Drenai people. This is classic David Gemmell with each Hero haunted by his past ,a battle of insurmountable odds , tragedy , love and magic. Yet again Gemmell lets you get to know each character intimately prior to the inevitable deaths that battle will bring. An excellent follow on from Legend.

David Gemmell is awesome and this book is a legend but I'm appalled by the amount of typo's and test issues with the kindle version. You can understand issues in the printed versions but in a kindle version where you have spell check and proof readers and testers it's nuts. Come on Amazon check the quality of your products a bit better please.

Epic
As ever David Gemmell weaves his magic with another great story. Excitement builds from the first page and keeps on rushing to a final epic conclusion.
