I bought this for my Husband for personal training. It works fine on him but didn't work well on me. I have a low resting heart rate, which may be the reason it didn't pick me up or it may be due to anatomical reasons!! I have also thought it may be that it's not tight enough on me so if you're quite slight it may only work once you're exercising and hence chest is expanding more than normal. Other than that it does what it says.

Its a basic but ok HRM, if you press the back light, it does fade out so you need brand new batteries.
but i as i got this for a tenner from tesco i cant really complain,

its accurate, easy to use, it gives a average heart rate and a max heart rate, its supposed to be water resistant to 30 meters too, for the price its an ok monitor

Use it to keep a check on my heart rate throughout the day. So far no complaints, but like all of these monitors can sometimes momentarily lose the connection between chest piece and wristwatch. eg. if arm fully extended from body.
But great product for the price, definitely recommended.

I sent it as a present and it means having to return it and spoil the idea of the gift.It turned itself off after a few seconds

I followed the instructions in the manual, even putting the chest srap on and dampening the detector strips, but the screen remained blank.
Opened up the back to check if the battery was in fully, it was and still did not work.I returned it and ordered a replacement,
the same happened again, admittedly it could just have been that the battery was dead, but I was on a deadline so did not have
time to waste buying batteries when it could be that the device itself is faulty.
I ultimately ordered the more recent model, the HRM2 series, this has worked perfectly.

Second one of this unit I've purchased thus far. However, with both units when I pushed the el button the watch "died." Nothing shows on the screen. I have no clue what to do since the manual is no very good and does not go over a lot of the functions. Even worse, this was a gift to my wife. She will hold this against me forever!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. You could pay 4 or 5 times as much for a branded HR monitor. Why bother when this does the job very nicely. Amending this as I have also had issues using the "EL" button, which drains the battery completely.

If they sort out this issue it would be a nice cheap bit of kit.

Works ok but this is the HRM1 model which has basic features; current heart rate, max and minimum, timer and alarm and a watch. The HRM2 has more functionality, and I've seen it advertised for the same price. The clip holding the chest band in place is a bit flimsy and its not clear the best way to unclip it
