This is the first trainer ive owned so i cant compare it to magnetic versions or air resistance products but i read the fluid trainer is the most natural feeling bike trainer and decided thats the one i wanted.I paid 300 odd pound for it and looking at the picture and also seeing it for real its hard to see where your 300 pound has gone but having said that i would buy this trainer again at this price because its the one i wanted. When you take the trainer out the box there is no parts to assemble its ready to go out of the box and it comes with a quick release skewer. When you open up the legs the trainer feels very sturdy and it looks good too.I have to say the bike feels rigid once locked into place you can stand on the pedal and the bike dont move. Its not silent when using it but its not loud either its quiter than a washing machine on spin and you can have a conversation whilst using it assuming you have spare breath to talk. When using it you never feel your fighting the resistance of the trainer but slowly you feel the effect of the resistance which is what i wanted so from that respect it does feel like road riding if your willing to spend the 300 quid on it i would really recommend it as its meant to last a lifetime so 300 pound i suppose will equal out to a fair price over the years or thats what i tell myself.I read that bike trainers quickly strip the tread off your tyre and ive found this is the case so i bought a spare rear wheel, cassette and tyre for use on this road machine as it really does wear your tread down quickly and im only a 2 hours a week user and also bear in mind you need a quick release rear wheel to use this trainer.

Great indoor trainer. Quiet and steady with a solid build. Fluid resistance is excellent compared with either air or magnetic types. Comes with a free training video download of USA Pro Challenge inspired hill training and one month free trial of TrainerRoad.com. Obviously, you'll need ANT+ sensors and key/dongle. Plenty of HIIT training available on YouTube. This is well-worth considering. I have considered quite a few.
Quick delivery from the seller.

Had a tacx with handle bar controller.it was noisy. The kinetic road is brill, no messing with adjusting force.. So quiet, no need to increase volume of sound system...
Kinetic is not set up well to support frequently taking bike on and off.
