Product Description

Kinectimals invites children, their parents and animal lovers of all ages to build lasting friendships with some of the world’s most exotic creatures. Just like real pets, your Kinectimals will come running when they hear your voice, respond to commands such as “jump,” “roll over” and “play dead,” and purr with joy when you scratch them behind their ears.

About Kinectimals

  • Get in touch with your wild side. Your journey begins when you adopt and name one of 20 playful friends, including a lion, cheetah and Bengal tiger.
  • Create memories that last a lifetime. From the first time she recognizes her name to when she learns to fetch, your cub will grow up as your sidekick, eager to discover the island around you. She will always be ready for a scratch and a belly rub with smiles and purrs.
  • The fun never ends. There are new ways to train tricks such as fetch, play activities such as jump rope, and even master agility courses with hops, stops and balancing acts. Invite a friend with his or her pet for some fun contests.
  • Discover, collect and customize. “Kinectimals” rewards those who are curious about the island they live on. Travel far and wide to discover treasures and toys, and find and unlock new environments. You can customize your pet and decorate your home, plus use the in-game store to shop for items to nurture and care for your new best friend.

We bought this for our 4 year old for Christmas but had to give it a try just to make sure it will be ok for her. There are some sections that she'll need "grown up" help on to understand but otherwise it's purrfect! The graphics are great, the characters incredibly cute and we were hooked into it straight away. We've realised it's not going to just be a game for her as we're all going to want to play. I look forward to the arguement on Christmas day over who gets what character!

Kinectimals is one of the best launch games for the ground breaking new Xbox 360 Kinect Motion control & voice recognition accessory. It's a charming game that will appeal to any younger child (think ages up to 10 or so) and is just as much fun for an adult as it brings a broad smile to your face watching your son or daughter make ffriends with their new 'virtual pet' who your child trains and plays with as they explore a mysterious island together.

The child can train the viritual tiger/lion/cheeta etc. cub to play games and do many tricks... while for an adult, watching the on screen cub roll over and sit, when your child does the same is most amusing.

While exploring the island there are plenty of mini games, although the style is somewhat repetitive with lots of ball throwing, kicking and the like. That said, my son did not tire of it too easily and still enjoys playing some weeks after 1st having the game.

The graphics are excellent and it's an easy game for visitors to pick up and play (As Microsoft say, not needing any controller makes it easy to try as there are no buttons to have to learn.

All in all, recomended. If you have childern and Kinect .. worth the money.

Kinect is an interesting piece of equipment and though Dance Central has been wowing people and has already been described as Kinect's killer app, Kinectimals is definitely a better technical demonstration of what's possible with Kinect. Looking after a set of adorable jungle cats, you might think this is strictly kiddified gaming but it's very good, graphically sumptuous and the minigames are genuinely fun to play (particularly the Radio Controlled Car races - that show you can do a decent set of driving controls on Kinect if you try).

Frontier Developments really deserve plenty of kudos for showing Britsoft developers have still got the knack of producing really interesting games experiences.

Your kids will love it but make sure Kinect can see them OK as my 3 year old daughter struggles as she's a little bit too short for Kinect to work properly for her, but nonetheless she absolutely loves the adorable furry tigers, leopards and cheetahs in this game

I've only just started playing this game, and i think its one of the best games ever made, the fact that you have to look after your cub, feed, pet and play with it, the tricks the animals can do are really funny too, especially the play dead, overall id say its the best kinect game out at the moment
