Product Description

Product Description

This title has been tested for the K3 and Kindle for PC. It may not work on the older K2 and K1 hardware models.

DESCRIPTION:
Kindle Slider Puzzles is a collection of 30 different traditional tile sliding puzzles.

There are three "classic" number sliders the 8-puzzle, 15-puzzle, and 24-puzzle. Also included are 27 "picture" sliders. The picture slider puzzles do not include numbers on the tiles, so those puzzles are more like a cross between traditional sliders and jigsaw puzzles.

In all, the 30 puzzles are guaranteed to keep puzzle fans occupied for hours. Plus they have a high amount of replay value since the initial layout changes to a random configuration each time you scramble the puzzle.

Each starting configuration is guaranteed to be solvable though. The scrambling program code checks for that at the start, so you don't have to worry about getting stuck with a starting configuration that is impossible to finish.

The pictures used for the puzzle are all in full-color. If you play on a standard Kindle eReader they will be rendered in grayscale. However, if you play through Kindle for PC or any other color Kindle display option you will receive the full color pictures.

Love this kindle book. It keeps me amused for ages. You can determine the difficulty of the puzzle. Have the easy one which has 8 pieces or more difficult with 15 or 24 pieces. You can have numbers or pictures on the slider pieces, pictures being harder in my opinion. If you don't get the puzzle done in time, no worry finish it later because kindle remembers where you were up to. Also if you want to play these puzzles you have to turn wireless on to get a new puzzle. Once you have got it ready to play then you can switch off the wireless(leaving it on while you play uses more power). Recommended :-)

Fun puzzles for Kindle 25 Dec 2010
By Samantha - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
These are really fun. There are 30 puzzles. I quickly solved the first 2 with numbered tiles and thought "wow this is going to be too easy." But the third puzzle had more tiles and took quite a bit longer. Then the rest of the puzzles have no numbers (they are pictures only) and that makes them quite tough (and fun) to solve.

I "looked" at all of them already and there are 3 or 4 of the pictures that are hard to make out in black and white on the Kindle screen. The rest of them look fine. I also checked the puzzles out using Kindle for PC and they look really good in color.

My husband doesn't like to play games (on the Kindle or otherwise) but even he got hooked trying to unscramble the puzzle with the picture of stonehenge. (It took him 20 minutes, after he bragged that he could do it easily!)

Overall I think this is a really fun game for the Kindle and think there is a lot to do for the cheap price. It's nice to play for a few minutes when you don't have the time or desire to read a book.

Tedious 8 Jan 2011
By I. Peters - Published on Amazon.com

These are tedious, tedious puzzles to play on a device like the Kindle. The tiles are moved by the 5-way navigation button but somehow it always took me several attempts to move a tile. The responsiveness just wasn't there and it was incredibly slow. An added difficulty was that it was not very clear which tile was selected at any given time. So many times I had accidentally moved my cursor outside the playing field because I had simply lost track of where it was. I didn't finish even the first puzzle because it was just too slow and cumbersome. The game cost only $2.99 but I wish I had saved myself the money. It might play ok on a PC but this is definitely not fun on the Kindle.
